Join us for an exploration of flower essences and plant communication.
In this experiential workshop we will talk about connecting to the essence of the plant, and you will learn the recipe I received from my teachers to make a beautiful infusion (a flower essence).
We'll talk about how to open up your channels of perception to plant communication as well, which is quite a revelation and so needed in our modern times. Flower essences are just a delight and wonderful to make in the summer months!
In this session I’ll also talk about when it is a good time to do an essence, what you need and how to store it so the essence lasts for years.
I’ll offer tips to make flower essences made with rose, lavender, yarrow, nettle, a crystal and more. It will be a lot of fun, and informative!
Flower essences are a subtle vibrational herbal remedies. A lot of what we know in our modern world about flower remedies comes through the lineage of Dr. Bach in the 1930s. As the tale is told, Dr. Bach was struggling with some health concerns and was connecting with the flowers and plants to help support his healing. He developed a method for collecting the essence of very specific flowers and plants, and was so successful that many know his name today without even realizing it is a flower essence they are taking.
Dr. Edward Bach was a physician and homeopath who was convinced that emotional well-being was key to overall health. He spent his life exploring the use of flowers and plants to bring a simple, natural and gentler approach to emotional balance, and eventually went on to create The Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, England, where he developed the popular remedies as we know them today like “Rescue Remedy.”
I’ll talk about when it is a good time to do an essence, what you need and how to store it so the essence lasts for years.
Bach created a wonderful opening in our modern world for the remembrance of this kind of healing, but I do believe collecting the essence of a plant, flower, stone or other for healing has been around for a very long time.
